Party on a Budget (part 2)

Hey everyone,

Last time, we talked about some easy adjustments you can make to make your party budget friendly.  Let's look at some additional things you can do to save, not only time, but money:

1.   Invitations

We love them, but let's be honest nowadays everyone has some type of social media presence, so let's use that.  There's nothing wrong with doing an online invitation.  In fact, on Facebook, you can create an event or group and invite family and friends to your party.  You can even dress up your invitation with either a picture of the birthday boy or girl (like the one below of my baby boy that I use for his Christening invites) or do a Google search of free images that you can use.  Not only you save money on paying for print invitations but you get the freedom to design one yourself.  If you need help, contact me at jampack@jampackrentals and I will help the best I can. 
If you insist on having print invitations, then only buy a few for the people that's not on Facebook.  Your family and friends will probably not frame your invitation so why spend the extra cost when you can put that money to foods and/or games.

2.   Decorations:

We touched on this last time, and like I said before, BALLOONS, BALLOONS, BALLOONS.  They are festive and kids love them.  If this is a more adult-theme, streamers, lanterns, and table confetti will do just as fine.  With great music, no one will notice you skim on the decorations.  You can have an adult theme like, The Rolling Fifties, Movie Night, and much more.  Have your guest dress up and play along.  Grownups like to have fun too.

3.   Outdoor Venues

Be careful with outdoor venues.  Before booking your party check on the followings:
   -Make sure there's bathrooms available for your guests
   -Are trashes available for easy disposable of garbage
   -Are there available outlets to plug radios, bounce houses, fun food machines, and games because if not, you will have to order generators, which will up your cost
   -Are pavilions available in case of bad weather and if the size is right to accommodate the number of your guests
   -Last, and certainly not least, verify with the facility what vendors are allowed.  I booked a park for my son's birthday, only to find out that trackless trains, animals, or ponies are not allowed in the park, WHO SAYS NO TO A PONY? So I had to adjust my plans.  Also make sure that a DJ will not run into any problems.  For example, Jam Pack Party Rentals hosted a party in a park that was near a residential area and we couldn't blast the music, even though it was a large park.  As in most parks in Broward County, they are very particular as to what vendors are allowed.
