11 Unique and Fun Names for Your Wedding Guest Tables

Hello Everyone!!!

Hope everyone had a great weekend.  I was at home working on a table setting for a friend, although we're not having assign seating, we still wanted to label the tables.  So that's when the neurons started sparkling, aside from table numbers, what other fun way we can label the tables.  So here is 11 cool and fun way to label your guest tables:

1. Island names

Planning a destination or getaway theme wedding, how about naming your table after the islands...Jamaica, Haiti, Virgin Island, Bahamas, Turks and Cacaos, Trinidad, etc...Your guests will joy traveling to Bahamas for free.

2. Important Family members

Mother of the bride, mother of the groom, father of the bride, father of the groom, grandmas, grandpas and any other special close relative.  Not only would this make them feel special, it will add a very personal touch to your reception.

3. Movies

This is another fun idea.  For example, The Great Gatsby, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Gone with the winds, The Notebook, Their Eyes were Watching, etc...

4. Favorite Dates

The day he proposed, the day you met, the kids birth dates, first date and so on. You can put the date with a quick description of the meaning.

5. Songs

Pick your favorite romantic songs or keeping with the island theme reggae or soca songs.  All your listing is the name of the song.  I would keep it fun and just have the DJ play the table songs when it's time to eat.

6. Famous landmarks

Eiffel Tower, London Bridge, Taj Mahal, Statue of Liberty, etc...

7. Sport Teams

Basketball, football, soccer, for my offbeat brides with an insane love for sports

8. Famous Couples

Romeo/Juliet, Shrek/Fiona, Beyonce/JayZ, Cleopatra/Antony, Lois/Superman,

9. Cocktails

Long Island Iced Tea, Daiquiri, Cosmo, Berry Mojitos, great way to set the mood for the night

10. I love you in multiple languages

taim i' ngra leat (Irish), Ti Amo (Italian), Te Amo (Spanish), Je T'aime (French)

11. Love Street Names

Lovers' Lane, Valentine Avenue, Kissing Gate, Hearts Circle, make it fun.

And there you have it.  The point is to do what is fun to YOU and YOUR other half.  No where is it written that you have to go with traditions.

With Love,
Judith
