Colorful Springtime Table Setting

Spring it forward! Yes ladies and gentlemen, this weekend we'll lose an hour of sleep (ugh). I get the whole daylight savings thing, but I'm not looking forward to sleeping less. The great news is, Spring is coming. For us south Floridians that just means we're getting hotter than what we were in December during our so-called Winter. Yep, time to dust off those shorts, take out those cute sandals, and stock your medicine cabinet  with Benadryl and other allergy medicines. But before you do all that, check this place setting I created for a Springtime brunch.

Don't worry this idea is super easy to recreate and won't break your wallet.

This setting is great also great for luncheons, Mother's Day or Easter. A beautiful way  to display everything that is Spring while surrounded by family and friends. Let's take a closer look at each piece of this colorful table.

First is the linen, I used a light rose table cover, lime green cloth napkins and gold flatware. If you go on and with their 25% off sale this weekend, you can scoop up cute gold flatware for your next entertainment. Yes, they can get very expensive that's why I say this table is more for a small dinner party or brunch, you don't have to worry about buying a lot. But if your guests list is bigger than 10, by all means rent them from a party vendor. The peach charger plate is part of my inventory and it's one of my favorite color to use. The flower napkin holder believe or not, I got them at Michaels. It comes four in a pack. I went with the yellow.

If you're going to use this idea for a brunch, I would suggest adding coffee cups with the glasses. My idea I went with a water glass and short stem wine glass, perfect for Mimosas.

The great thing about Spring blooms, they come is such beautiful vibrant colors. I mean that's what Spring is about right? I just grabbed whatever bloom was pretty and appealing to my eyes and arranged them in a large teacup-like vase. Unlike weddings and big events, dinner parties, luncheons, or brunch, you should definitely go with shorter centerpieces. If you really want to be creative, use anything wide enough around the kitchen for a flower vase. You know that large floral bowl that grandma gave you for Christmas, well now it has a purpose. Just add flower foam inside to make it easier to arrange each stem and keeping your centerpiece secure.

See I told you, super easy to do. My previous post, I shared a recipe for delicious Conch Fritters. A great appetizer for your brunch, see it HERE, and impress your family and friends with your culinary skills. Here is the Island Rum Punch to go with those fritters, HERE.

Well, that's it folks. I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I enjoyed putting it together. Now I'm out enjoying the beautiful south Florida sun with my little prince.

Enjoy your weekend and talk to y'all later.
