Choosing the Right Wedding Planner for You.

Congratulations! you're engaged. But before you embark on this journey, let's talk about wedding planners and the services that they offered. You didn't know? Well grab a pen and paper or better yet save this post on your desktop.
In no particular order:

Full-Service Planning

Duties may includes:

  • Keeping track of planning process
  • Coordinating your vendors
  • Keep track of your budget and expenses
  • Venue searches
  • Help with coordinating caterer
  • Scheduling appointments and fittings
Yes this type of service can get expensive, but what you get is someone that will take away some of the stress associated with planning a wedding or event. Here is a great post on the, Top 10 Questions To Ask Your Wedding Planner. And this post will work with any of the services that you choose.

Next is

Partial Planning Service

Duties may include:

  • Keeping track of planning process
  • Keep track of your budget and expenses
  • Scheduling appointments and fittings

Looks similar to the full planning service, except with a partial you get a set amount of hours or specific service that is not negotiable. You may just need someone to help keep track of guess, schedule appointments or keep track of your budget. This particular planner, will outline in detailed what services they offer and the amount of hours spent working on a task and be billed accordingly. The drawback to this type of service is, the planner is NOT at your disposal and you may not be able to call on them for additional services not outlined at your original meeting.

Month-Of Coordination

Duties may include:

  • Create & coordinate wedding day timeline & events
  • Confirmed vendors and caterers
  • Schedule rehearsals
Just it sounds, this service is offered either 30 or 60-days before your wedding. Look at it as second set of eye to check out all your planning details. Also you may get a day-of coordination, which is basically a planner or wedding hostess whose duties will be to make sure your special day go off without a hitch. With this type of planning, YOU do all the planning and work, and a hired month-of coordinator will come in and make sure your plan is executed to your planning process.
